How to I determine an equation for the maximum vertical position of an object?

The equation must be in terms of v_0 (initial velocity), theta (angle of launch), and g (gravity).

Thanks in advanceHow to I determine an equation for the maximum vertical position of an object?
Basically, you're asking for the derivation of the formula for maximum height of an object in two dimensional motion. Keep in mind that gravity acts as the y-component in motion in two dimensions. Instead of v_0, I'm going to use vi.

Start off with the following formulas:

vf = vi + at

0 = vi*sin(胃) - g*t

t = (vi*sin(胃)) / g

Now substitute these values into the formula for final position:

h = (vi*sin(胃)) * ((vi*sin(胃)) / g) - (g / 2) * ((vi*sin(胃)) / g)虏

h = (vi虏 * sin虏胃) / 2g

Now consider the horizontal (x) component of the object's motion:

R = (vi*cos(胃)) * 2t = (vi*cos(胃)) * ((2*vi*sin(胃)) / g)

R = (2*vi虏*cos(胃)*sin(胃)) / g

Using a trigonometric identity, the final answer is:

R = (vi虏 * sin(2胃)) / g

Find the volume of the object and its density ?

a metal object is suspended from a spring scale. the scale reads 921 N when the object is suspended in air, and 717 N when the object is completely submerged in water. The acceleration of gravity is 9.8 m/s^2. Find the volume of the object and its density ?Find the volume of the object and its density ?
f = ma

m = f/a = 921 / 9.8 = 94 kg (m = mass)

the force lifting the object equal to the waight of a volume of water same as the volume of the object

as for the force lifting the object

= 921 - 717 = 204N

the wight of the water 204/9.8 = 20.81 Kg

water density = 1000 kg/m^3 at 4Co

volume of the water = mass / density

= 20.81 / 1000 = 0.0208 m^3

which is the same as the volume of the object

the density of the object = mass / volume

= 94 / 0.0208 = 4519.23 kg / m^3

How to make the background blurr when taking a picture of an object with a Nikon D50 camera?

Use Aperture priority mode and dial the smallest f number you can,either using the ring on your lens,(if it has one ),or the command dial on the right hand side of the body,How to make the background blurr when taking a picture of an object with a Nikon D50 camera?
Select 'portrait' mode on the preset mode. keep clicking.How to make the background blurr when taking a picture of an object with a Nikon D50 camera?
Use a wide aperture setting, small F stop number. The F number is got by dividing the focal length by the aperture size. So a 50 mm lens with an F stop setting of 3.4 will have an aperture of 14.7 mm. Wide apertures reduce depth of field (less of scene is in focus).
setting the lowest apeture number is the right first step... but if the lens your using has a high f-stop, then you have to do a little bit more... if your using a high f-stop lens then the first thing you need to do is turn off the autofocus. The auto focus on a d50 will focus on your subject just fine... the problem is that means you have a lot of stuff going on behind the subject that will still be in focus...

You have to understand that every lens has a band in which things will be in focus... the higher the f-stop the wider that band of in focus is... the lower the number the more narrow the band... the problem is your cameras auto-focus puts your subject somewhere near the middle to front of that band... if you want the back ground blurry you need to make sure the subject is near the back of the band. If you had a camera with a depth of field preview you could simply hold it down when you focused and you would know just how closely you could focus and still have your subject in focus and the background out of focus... the d50 doesn't have that so you need to just do some trial and error. with the camera on manual focus, focus on something 1 foot in front of the subject and take a shot... then focus on something 1.5 feet in front and take a shot... repeat that focusing on something a little closer each time and then look at the results.... you'll find that some of the ones will have the subject in focus even though it looked blurry in the view finder... now you can get more blur in the background without having to buy more expensive fast glass.
he above advice is all valid.

another way would be to do it using the software method.

Google 'Photoshop tutorials' should lead you to sites explaining this method.
As the other two have said put the camera in A mode and scroll through to get the smallest aperture number. Something like f/3.5 f/4 or f/5.6.

In addition - zoom all the way in and walk back to fit it in.

Its a bit wordy, but have a quick look at: http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutoria鈥?/a>
--- Zoom in all the way

--- Open the aperture wide

--- Get close to your subject

Blurred backgrounds may not be possible with wide-angle lenses even if you do the above.

Best effect is with 70mm and longer lenses.

For more information and a handy DOF calculator, go here:

Hope this helps.

A lens with a larger aperture will you get photographs like the one I've linked to below.

Aperture size is defined by a number. A large aperture would have a low number such as 1.8.

The more zoom you have, and larger the aperture, the more blurred the background will be.

With the Nikon D50, I would recommend getting a Nikon 50mm 1.8. It will allow you to take photographs in low light without a flash, and give you the blur effect you desire. (Yahoo link below for 50mm info)
Other contributers are talking about depth of field, which are perfectly valid answers of course, but there are other types of blur.

Panning your shot on a moving subject will blur the backgound and leave the subject sharp, if done properly (needs practice). This is called motion blur and can add 'speed' to a picture.

Another type of motion blur if your camera allows it is rear curtain flash, with this technique you pan as before, but just before the rear curtain of the shutter closes (hence the name) the flash fires, freezing and perfectly exposing the foreground, anything within range of the flash. Will the built in flash this will only be about 5 or 6 feet, but with a more powerful flash an area several tens of feet can be illuminated.

In both these techniques a slowish shutter speed is used 1/8 of a second or so, or even slower with practice.

Can light potentially move an object physically?

for example in space, objects are virtually weightless i am wondering if light, cud transfer its energy into another object and move it.Can light potentially move an object physically?
Yes Radiation Pressure of Light can be used to move Objects, According to Einstein Relation E = pc Photons Have a Momentum so Light Reflecting off a Surface Generate a Small amount of Radiation Pressure, This Method is Proposed to use on Solar Sails.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_SailCan light potentially move an object physically?
Yes it can it can be absorbed by an object which then gains its momentum, it is the same principle by which solar sails work.

If you think about it it must transfer momentum as the light has a relativistic momentum, if it was absorbed and the absorber didn't move momentum would not be conserved which is a central principle of physics.
Light is composed of photons that have a mass and a momentum. So yes it can.

Actually, the famous Compton experience showed that when light in incident on an electron is moves it and loses a part of its energy.
Yes, it can. A solar sail could accelerate a spacecraft to extreme velocity, without using any propellant at all.

Absolutely. Check out this link.
yes they can as they are a form of energy
A laser might work.

How do you make a dog throw up after eating a foreign object?

my 80 pound chocolate lab ate one of my daughters cotton pads. we tried the hydrogen peroxide method of giving him about 2 tablespoons, and it's been about.. 15 minutes. I'm reluctant to give him anymore.. so is there any other method we can use to try and get it out ASAP??

thanks for the help!!!How do you make a dog throw up after eating a foreign object?
My sister's friend's dog ate and swallowed a whole sock once and they had to take him to the vet and have it surgically removed. It was a very expensive surgery. Hopefully he won't need surgery but please keep the cotton pads away from his reach from now on.How do you make a dog throw up after eating a foreign object?
The does was too small. It' s one teaspoon of Hydrogen Peroxide per 10 pounds of body weight. Then you walk the dog. If he hasn't vomited after 15 minutes, try it once more.

In a dog this large, it's likely that your dog will pass it if you can't get him to throw it up. But keep an eye on him and if anything seems different or wrong about him, get him to the vet.

ETA: You can't use this in every case. If the dog had eaten something sharp or caustic, you wouldn't want him to try to throw it up--you'd go straight to the emergency vet. Don't want anyone to think this is a universal solution!
Did he eat it whole? If it's in pieces it will go through, if it's whole you have a problem. With peroxide you give it until the dog throws up, it's not good to stop and leave the peroxide in the stomach. Once you have began you need to follow through.
You can give him one more dose of the same size. Emergency clinics have other drugs they can administer to induce vomiting,
Give him 2 tablespoons at a time and walk him for 1 min then give him more till he upchucks..

It's pretty simple...
peroxide will do the job

  • What is the power of a motor that can lift a 10kg object 12 m with a constant speed of .5m/s?

    It's a physics questions. Here are the multiple choice possible answers. I have no idea how to do this.

    A) 4.09 Watts

    B)24.16 Watts

    C) 49.05 Watts

    D) 2.35 kiloWattsWhat is the power of a motor that can lift a 10kg object 12 m with a constant speed of .5m/s?
    And the answer is ... C...

    Power = Force(Distance)/Time

    Force = 10 kg x 9.8 m/s*2

    Distance = 12 m

    Time = Distance/Speed = 24 sec

    What would REALLY happen if an unstoppable force met an immoveable object?

    Chuck Norris dies.

    No seriously, that is what would happen.

    Do not question the GM.

    Regards,

    ArmusWhat would REALLY happen if an unstoppable force met an immoveable object?
    Lightbringer is right. this question is just a semantic game and has no meaning. Like if god is omnipotent can he make a rock that he can't move. it's just a word game like having 2 cubes each heavier than the other. They have no accordance with reality.What would REALLY happen if an unstoppable force met an immoveable object?
    everything would disappear
    well this happened once when chuck norris was doing a roundhouse kick and he kicked so fast that he actually roundhouse kicked himself in the face...

    This even was known as the big bang...

    It is also due to this that scientists are able to approximate the age of the universe.. they don't know exactly how old it is because Chuck Norris wanted to keep them guessing.
    If there was an imovalble wall the force would not be able to travel any further at the same velocity.

    For a force to move you have to give it room!

    easy answer.Tough question.
    The irresistable force would lose no energy to the immovable object. An eternal stand-off.
    Damage
    Immovable object and unstoppable force are actually ill-defined terms here. Let's clear the question up a bit.

    An immovable object is more accurately defined as a mass with infinite inertia. Since inertia varies with mass as far as we know, this would more simply be an infinite mass.

    An unstoppable force could be a few different things, but the questions seems to be referring to two objects colliding, so we'll go with that. An unstoppable force would also be an object with infinite inertia, but it would be in motion. This means that the object can be said to have infinite momentum, meaning that either the mass or velocity (or both, I suppose) could be infinite. Any mass moving at infinite velocity would have infinite momentum, as would an infinite mass travelling at any velocity.

    In a collision, momentum is important. Momentum is what gets transfered between the objects (well, it's really kinetic energy). Because we are dealing with infinites, however, the problem is a little muddy. Would an infinite force be able to move an infinite mass? This kind of question is at the core of what you're asking here. Dealing in infinites would seem to be one way of asking an absolute question, but it turns out to be exactly the opposite. With that in mind, here we go.

    First off, let's define the kind of collision we're going to have. An elastic collision is one in which kinetic energy is transfered completely in the collision. An inelastic collision is one in which some or all of the kinetic energy is transfered to some other form of energy. All collisions that we know of are inelastic to some degree. The lost kinetic energy manifests itself as sound and light, usually.

    So what would this collision be like? That's an interesting question.

    In the case of a perfectly elastic collision, two possibilities emerge. In one, all of the momentum from the moving object is transfered to the object at rest. In essence, the immovable object and unstoppable force actually switch roles! The other possibility is that the unstoppable force is simply deflected, retaining its original momentum and remaining the unstoppable (but not undivertable) force.

    In the case of a perfectly inelastic collision, all of the kinetic energy would be released. This would be an infinite amount of energy, and so the universe would be, well, probably obliterated. However, the Immovable object would be the winner in this case.

    A third option arises, in which only some of the kinetic energy is transfered. In this case, since we are dealing with an infinite amount of energy, it is possible that an infinite amount of momentum is transfered to the object at rest, while an infinite amount is also released. In this case, the object at rest, with infinite momentum trasnfered to it, might actually move, while the object in motion would retain infinite momentum and either be deflected or travel along with the now moving immovable object, while an infinite amount would also be released. Really, an combination of these three events could happen, since we have an infinite amount of energy to play with.

    So the answer is that either or neither one could conceivably win, and the fate of the very universe could be put in jeopardy in the process.

    This answer completely ignores the role that the shape and composition of the objects might be. A very small unstoppable force might just tunnel through the immovable object, leaving no clear winner.
    In order to determine what would REALLY happen, you need to REALLY define your units. Unstoppable force? You mean an infinite amount of energy? Doesn't exist. Immoveable object? You mean infinite mass? Doesn't exist.

    Now, lets substitute:

    ';What would really happen if something that doesn't exist met something that doesn't really exist?'; Well, it can't happen, because neither exist, so obviously, the answer to your problems is ';Nothing';.

    However, if we enter the metaphysical, and conjecture that we are imagining these forces then what would really happen would be whatever you imagined. SO, have fun with that!
    it would bounce off and go in a new direction
    One would have to give.
    everything is movable therefore the force would win.
    If a large force is everted on an unmoveable object then it will change shape.
    the unstopable force would shatter the object. its called theoretical physics so prove me wrong
    Are there such things as unstoppable forces and immoveable objects?
    What usually happens - the former would probably put a ticket or a wheel clamp on the latter.
    I think it's called sumo wrestling
    I imagine they would both shatter or break in some way.

    edit: NOTHING CAN STOP THE BLOB!
    The flaw is with your initial assumptions.

    If the force is unstoppable, then *everything* would be moved by it - therefore you could not have an immovable object

    If the object is immovable, then all forces would be stopped by it - therefore you cannot have an unstoppable force.

    Whichever you pick - the other cannot exist.

    A bit like having two cubes, both of which are heavier than the other. It just doesn't work.
    Nothing. Could never happen in the real world.
    I imagine that they would ';merge'; through each other.

    How does the velocity vs time graph of a free falling object change when the mass increases/decreases?

    Gravity of the Earth exerts the same amount of pull on an object no matter its mass. How does the velocity vs time graph of a free falling object change when the mass increases/decreases?
    The velocity doesn't change. The rate of fall is a constant no matter the mass. Everything is falling at the same speed. Galileo Galilei proved it.

    Systematic experiments on freely falling objects and objects moving on inclined planes were carried out by Galileo Galilei (1564-1642). Freely falling objects are objects not supported by anything and not acted on by any forces except the gravitational force. Near the surface of the earth such objects are accelerating. This acceleration is due to the gravitational force acting between the objects and the earth. The direction of the gravitational acceleration vector is towards the center of the earth. Its magnitude decreases as one over the square of the distance from the center of the earth. The radius of the earth is 6368 km. If you climb a 1000 m high mountain, your distance from the center of the earth changes by (1/6368)麓100 % = 0.016 % and the magnitude of the acceleration vector changes by (1/6368)2麓100 % = 2.4麓10-6 %. For all objects near the surface of the earth the distance from the center is nearly constant, and the magnitude of the gravitational acceleration vector is therefore approximately constant. We denote the gravitational acceleration vector by g. Its magnitude is g = 9.8 m/s2 and its direction is straight downward. Over small distances, when the curvature of the earth's surface can be neglected, the direction of the gravitational acceleration vector is also nearly constant.

    Near the surface of the earth g is the same for all objects. All objects accelerate at approximately the same rate. Freely falling objects are therefore objects, which are moving with constant acceleration g.How does the velocity vs time graph of a free falling object change when the mass increases/decreases?
    doesn't change one bit.

    How do you measure the volume of an irregular shaped solid object?

    if the object doesnt float, just immerse it in a known amount of water and measure the displacement.

    if the object does float, attach it to a very dense object of known volume and measure the water displacement, subtracting the volume of the very dense object.How do you measure the volume of an irregular shaped solid object?
    Measure the height of water in a container of known cross-section. Sink the solid in the water, and measure the height again. The change in the indicated volume of the water, is the volume of the solid.

    How do you measure the volume of an irregular shaped solid object?
    Immerse it completely in water and measure the volume of water displaced, either by increase in water level in a cylindrical jar of known area, or the measuring water spilled when immersed in jar filled to the brim.
    Use water displacement and a graduted cylinder.

    Measure the water in the cylinder, then add the object.

    Look at the water level again. Subtract the first measurement from the second and there you have the volume of the object.

    Got it?
    Submerge it in a measured volume of water. Note the new measure of volume, subtract the new from the initial volume and you will have the volume of the object.
    Immersing it in water, and measuring the amount of water displaced , Archimedes did it thousands of years ago ;-)
    Drop it water and measure displacement

    Do you know the density? If not you could just drop the object in a beaker of water and measure the displaced fluid.
    Put it in water.
    break it up into regular shapes and add them

  • If you are over driving your headlights and you see an object ahead you will?

    1.need to execute a high speed u turn

    2.be able to stop but may graze the object

    3.drive onto the shoulder

    4.not be able to stop in time to miss the objectIf you are over driving your headlights and you see an object ahead you will?
    Well here is what common sense says. The first option which is to ';execute a high speed u turn'; wouldn't be feasible because you don't know if you would be able to turn around so quickly. It depends on the situation. The 3rd choice which is to drive onto the shoulder would seem like a good idea, but again, you need to assess the situation. Besides if you were to quickly make a choice which is to drive on the shoulder then you may cause more of an accident because you may hit another object on the side of the road due to speed. The 4th is likely but it depends on how fast you are going, and how far away from the object. I would have to go with the 2nd choice. When driving it is important to give yourself enough stopping distance, and drive at a good speed. If you are able to stop and barely graze the object then at least you haven't injured yourself or anyone else by swerving out of the way. Its best to stop in good distance if you can.If you are over driving your headlights and you see an object ahead you will?

    What is the simple equation for Drag on a slow moving object?

    I've looked some equations up on google- but they aren't what I'm looking for.

    My teacher told me drag is just the velocity squared.... is he right?What is the simple equation for Drag on a slow moving object?
    Drag is a mixture of friction forces due to air resistance and friction in the moving parts (if any) and the surface the object is moving over. V squared is rubbish. mv^2 is momentum that must be overcome to start the object moving, then the other forces kick in.What is the simple equation for Drag on a slow moving object?
    Drag is viscous force and is equals to

    F=kv^2,where v=velocity
    Drag force = (1/2)CpAv.v

    where C=drag co-efficient

    p=density of air

    A=surface area of object

    v=velocity of the object

    Your teacher is right.
    Alan M what the hell.. momentum is mv not mv^2, are you thinking of kinetic energy -

    1/2 mv^2

    If you can slice off a small section with a rock saw, you should see either:

    If it is an iron-stone combination you should see almost like a mosaic pattern with the iron surrounding small specs of stone.

    no it wont. fallout 3 is a more advanced game and the object wont disapear.If i leave an object out in fallout 3 will it go away?
    The only ways I can think of it disappearing is if someone took it for a good cause (such as if you dropped a weapon and an unarmed wandering wastelander started being attacked by radscorpion and had no means of killing it except for the item you dropped) or your game got messed up.

    yes, depending on how much force that device can provide.

    all an object needs to do to go into orbit is break the atmospheric friction that holds it in place. so... once you find a method suitable enough, it's bound to happen.

    the object appears closer to the surface than it really is, because of magnification.A fish swimming in a pond looks up at an object lying a couple of feet above ?
    Yes, it would appear further.

    To see why, draw a diagram. Draw an object above some water, and draw the fish eyes. Draw the path of two rays from the object to the fish's eyes (NB. you must account for refraction!). Now draw backwards along the rays, but don't bend off at the refractive point. You will see that the rays merge at a further distance (and this is where the fish observes the object to be).
    The first choice, farther.

    If money was no object would you move outside of Ireland?

    Where would you go to?

    If you are not from Ireland would you move away from where you are from.If money was no object would you move outside of Ireland?
    I have never been outside of Ireland but I would like the experience of going someone new to explore. I would still like to come back home though.If money was no object would you move outside of Ireland?
    i will travle 168 countries......
    i hav moved alot in my life but if i could live anywhere it would probably be somewhere like hong kong or new york
    I would move to a warmer climate ';in'; the U.S. but I would not want to live in another country. The down trodden masses

    are still trying to reach these shores, the land of the brave, and the home of the free, no matter how much we may talk about our politics and stuff, this is still the greatest country on earth! I'm not putting Ireland down by any means we have a huge Irish population in the Chicago area, as can be attested to when we have one of the largest Saint Paddy's day parades and festival every year, and there are a lot of Irish in my family!
    I don't think I would ever permanently leave Ireland, it's my home and I'm surrounded by family and friends, but if money was no object I'd do lots of travelling.
    I have lived outside of Ireland, and it was good, but I was very happy to move back.
    Hi, I f money was no object, i would have a villa in Cyprus, (Pernera) and an apartment overlooking the River Liffey in Dublin. I would not move from my hometown but i would enjoy going to my two holiday homes.
    Yep! Matter of fact thats what Ive wanted to do for a long time now. Leave here and move to Ireland. I know some good people there. Doesnt matter which city or county. Id love to live there. But I have some friends in Belfast and Derry so I guess I wouldnt really know much about other cities.
    I live in the US

    I would not move away.. All of my family and friends are here..

    I would miss them terribly..
    What ever you do don't move! I moved to Japan 18 years ago and made a big big mistake. Move and you might regret it. Or entrap yourself like I have. I don't know about Hong kong but from others I've heard you can't compare the beautity and open nature to Ireland in general. From a guy who dreams of returning the UK and can't would of never ever in a million years of come here.

    You're going find if you do move just how great the Ireland people are! The grass is greener on the other side as the saying goes. And a saying never truer to my understand till recently. Do NOT move!
    I would move to Ireland... I am infatuated with the country and culture.
    yes
    if i lived in Ireland i wouldent go anywhere!
    if money were of no object i would move as far away from england as i could, but making sure i could still grow my own fields of ganja lol AND I WOULD BE KING!!!!!
    No money being no object would probably be the reason i would stay.....but at the moment i feel i may need to go abroad to make the type of money I want to make

    However there would be alot of holidays involved to escape from the weather everytime it rained!!!lol
    no, but i will have a house in every country in the world
    Nobody really knows until they are in that situation. We all have dreams but the reality is always different. However, I have moved abroad to Spain. The only consideration was a better life for me and my family. I'll never return.
    im rfom london but id move to ireland if money was no object its a beautiful country
    I would stay where I am, only I would build a new house, and set up a trust fund for the historical building that I caretake right now.

  • How to make an object move randomly around the screen using Blitz Basic?

    Hi

    the ultimate simulation of waiting for a lift to arrive.

    Waiting in the lift lobby at my workplace for up to five minutes for a lift to arrive started me wondering how lift systems operate and if I could program one more efficiently.

    This of course led to the creation of 'Sim Lift' which, apart from being a bit of fun, demonstrates the complexities involved in what seems like such a simple process.

    Add to that an endless supply of little sim people to work the lifts and watch as they either reach their destinations or storm off in a cursing rage if forced to wait too long.

    Hours of entertainment guaranteed!

    'Sim Lift' is my first Blitz creation and is COMPLETELY FREE!!

    Visit the Sim Lift Webpage or click here to download it directly.

    Enjoy!

    Can god create an object that is too heavy for him to lift?

    This question has an absolute answer of either yes or no, there are no intermediates as one cannot almost lift an object without not lifting it or almost not lift an object without lifting it.Can god create an object that is too heavy for him to lift?
    some people don't get it:

    if he can how can he be all powerful, if he cant how can he be all powerful

    you cant get around it by calling it moot because god doesn't lift, lolCan god create an object that is too heavy for him to lift?
    Is it so important that if God can lift and object? How about lifting a heavy weight of sin off of me. Restoring me to his original intent for my life. His plan. Jeremiah 29:11.

    There are many things to heavy for us to lift. Sin and deception are major ones.

    These are serious circumstances. We need God. He made objects that are light and heavy for man's journey.

    There is an almost in mankind. But there is no almost with God. God is all and all able to do abundantly above all that we can think or imagine.

    God created everything and he gave us everything. But it is he that lifts up our object that are heavy. Too heavy to do anything on our own.

    That is why without faith it is impossible to please God.
    God is omnipotent and therefore not limited by logical paradoxes. Remember that God created all of nature's laws, including logic.

    God can created a stone that is too heavy for him to lift, and then he could life the un-lift-able stone.
    YES

    The imaginary God creates sadness in my heart sadness that so many blind peeps hold onto a false image of a Arab god...

    AND THIS WILL PROBABLY GET MY SON SENT OF TO WAR OVER IN THE MIDDLE EAST

    Nope the imaginary thing isnt lifting my spirits up from the low it created so there ya go.

    Im so surprised at first I thought an imaginary god CANT create anything..then i remembered

    ALL YOU THAT BELIEVE IN IT IN THE MANNER YOU DO ALL YA ALL CHRISTIANS JEWS MUSLIMS AND YA F..IN GOD CREATE ANXIETY...oops caps but how appropriate.
    That's really hard to answer, because He can do anything. So if he made something he could NOT lift, that would contradict him. But if he could NOT make an object to heavy for him to lift, that would contradict him, too. I hate questions like this...
    He couldn't do that. as He is the highest power and everything is under His command, even the heaviest rock is obliged to obey god.
    This question come up here several times a week. God can not do any thing that is contrary to the science of logic. He can not do evil, He can not deceive anyone, because He can not lie.
    If you can imagine it, he can do it. He can do anything, he created everything... Angel of death is about to get you.
    Yes, He can create, whatever he wants to create.
    Well,

    If He DID,

    He could always give it Life and spider-like legs so it could move by itself.

    Then He wouldn't HAVE to move it..

    no.

    Do you have an object to look at to inspire you ?

    No physical object. Just the object of a man in my mind. The phrase ';What would Jesus do?'; most likely came from a comment Ayn Rand made in the late 50's or 60's about how people often said to her that they used the image of John Galt and asked, ';What would John Galt do?'; She said she herself often did that also. And it is what I have done since before I read Rand's comment, and long, long, long before ';WWJD?'; ever became a slogan.Do you have an object to look at to inspire you ?
    No object inspires me.

    An object can help me focus!! It usually is Glass. Objects made of glass, crystal mainly, catch my eye and keep me focused. Being so, my thought can be more clear and I can get some thoughts easily. Not that the object inspired me, but the object helped me to ease my mind and focus on the matter under question.Do you have an object to look at to inspire you ?
    You're talking about a talisman. An object which you empower by the association with some aspect you wish to have in your life. (i.e. protection, peace, wealth, health, etc.) In your question, you're asking for inspiration.

    My main one is my wedding ring.

    Look around you. Yours might be a family heirloom you have. It could be a work of art. If you don't see one, try to go shopping and let syncronicity help you find one. Go to a store that offers spiritual gifts that agree with your own beliefs.

    Good luck.
    No I don't. Objects are inanimate with no thought to me nor care for my touch nor power in it to move me. I don't believe in the psychological powers we tend to give to these rabbit feet, charms, or trophy cups.

    My inspiration comes from a greater source.
    Inspiration appeals to core beliefs that you hold of the world. Other's ideas are not likely going to be helpful to you.

    What will inspire you depends on what you want.
    I love to see neatly planted agricultural fields. I don't know why, but the wind blowing through the wheat field like waves, or acres of corn, or grape vineyards just inspires me.
    a pcture of a passed loved one. Everything thing you do you put in there name and in there favor.
    my guitar....its been a source of inspiration and peace for 36 years and has never let me down.....other than that...my wife makes me always want to be a better person.

    Could a perfect object continue to be recognized as such beyond the point of attainment of that condition?

    Logically the answer is no. So when and where did the idea of perfection come from? What was this concept based on? I have my own idea but would like to test it against any alternate thought from you out there.Could a perfect object continue to be recognized as such beyond the point of attainment of that condition?
    Perfection started with Plato. Even then it was considered unattainable, that it was only a goal not an end unto itself. Now we say that perfection does not exist. Yet, most religionist will argue against the idea.Could a perfect object continue to be recognized as such beyond the point of attainment of that condition?
    Perfection is the ideal of the universe. The growth of crystals, the progression of evolution, the constant movement towards perfect balance.

    The concept of perfection? Is that not born with the selection of a mating partner in the lowest of evolutionary processes? The visual assesment of fitness? Do we not judge perfection even now as the fitness of any thing or being for it's purpose or place?

    Ah well. I could be wrong.
    The novelty of an item. The desire to obtain that which we do not have. Once the novelty wears off, it is no longer Perfect.
    maybe perfection is entirely self-contained and is automatically compromised by the act of observation. If it's being seen (or experienced in any way by ';other';) then it's in a dialectic relationship with the observer/s and cannot be assessed without beng behoven to the assessor.
    I think so... If someone or something did in fact become 'perfect' then why wouldn't it/he/she be recognized as such? Some religions view God as a perfect entity, and yet others have flawed gods. I am a believer in the 'perfection does not exist' category. But if it did present itself, I'd acknowledge it as such.

    The picture itself is easy enough.

    As for getting photoshop, you pay around $100 for PS Elements, or you pay closer to $1000 for full CS3.

    Or you email the photo to someone who has both, like me, and ask really nicely. I'm bored. Highest resolution you have please.

    if you dont have photoshop try gimp or others, even paint or online tools,

    with gimp like photoshop you can open color image, duplicate layer, change to gray with desaturetion, erase items you want color,

    with photofiltre open image select with lasso invert selection,

    adjust hue saturation to remove color outside, also could copy and paste from color to b%26amp;w,

    ..
    you would need photoshop, select the thing you want to be colored then inverse selection then you gotta use greyscale or whatever to that the background is black and white.
    As is true of many procedures in Photoshop, there are several ways of doing selective color. This is a quick and easy method.

    First open your photo in PS of course.

    Then go to Layer - Duplicate Layer

    Click OK

    Then go to Image - Adjustments - Hue / Saturation

    Drag the Saturation slider all the way to the left to make the photo black and white.

    Click OK

    Then get the ERASER tool from the tool box on the left side of the screen. It is usually the next tool under the clone stamp tool. Just hover your mouse over the tool, and it will say Eraser.

    When you have selected the Eraser, go up to the Brush options box at the top of the screen, and click on the downfacing arrow. Set the Hardness of the brush to 100% so you will have accurate control of selection. You may also need to raise or lower the brush size to suit.

    Erase away any black and white from where you want the color to be revealed.

    When done go to

    Layer - Flatten Image

    Then just do a Save As to wherever you want to save the photo.

    hope this helps you

    steve

    Photoshop is simply a computer software program available where most any software is sold. You will want to get Elements which cost $99. It will do what you want. The full version of Photoshop costs over $600
    I hope you know photoshop.

    1) add a layer and duplicate the main layer to the new layer

    2) Make the layer 1 black and white (lower layer)

    3) rub off the area on layer 2 (upper layer) that you want to be black and leave the main object colored.

    I hope I was able to explain you.
    you can download a photo shop or just buy one
    Take an optimised RGB file and create new a version of the image by creating a duplicate (Image %26gt; Duplicate) which will be converted into black and white copies or duo tones. Convert the image to greyscale and then back to RGB.

    Select the image you want to copy:

    Apple/Control + A (Select %26gt; All)

    Apple/Control + C (Edit %26gt; Copy)

    Click on the version you want to copy on to:

    Apple/Control + V (paste)

    Select a layer on the Layers palette with a click – the chosen layer can now be selectively erased via a channel retouch with the Eraser to leave part of the image as black and white or sepia and part of the image as colour. A levels or layer opacity adjustment may be required to get the subtlety perfected for output.

    Alternative options include Hue / Saturation or Replace Colour to throw colour into parts of an image whilst making other elements greyscale.
    Use Photoshop!

    The easiest way is to start with a color image, make a duplicate layer, convert to black and white, then use the eraser to erase the parts you want in color. Tada!
    if you have photoshop then you select the area you want to stay colored. Then you reverse the selection and click Enhance and color options then remove color
    For the photo edit you should get the tool. Normally i use photo shop for my photo edit that was very power full software. Than from where you get the software you can try the software shop nearby your house or you can buy from website. Also you can looking from minivova. Happy edit ya.
    This question has been answered over 200 times, try a search.

    Heres how I do it in Photoshop.

    Open your image and make a copy layer (Ctrl + J)

    Make the top layer B%26amp;W (there are loads of ways to do this other than the usual de-saturate)

    On the new B%26amp;W layer pull up a Layer Mask (The 'front loading washing machine' symbol on the layers toolbar)

    Select a soft brush, making sure that Black is the foreground Colour, paint on the mask at 100%. Where you paint in Black the colour from the image below will show through. If you make a mistake painting with White will 'hide' it again.

    There are loads of other ways to do this, such as using the History Brush, but I find this the easiest with most control.

    How do you find the actual height of an object or triangle given angle and distance?

    for example how do find the actual height of a box lamp pos given that the distance is 23 feet and the angle is 40 degrees?How do you find the actual height of an object or triangle given angle and distance?
    All you need to remember for these type of problems is:

    SOH CAH TOA

    or... sine(theta)= opposite over hypotenuse

    cosine(theta)=adjacent over hypotenuse

    tangent(theta)= opposite over adjacent

    Try drawing the problem. You will end up with a triangle where you know two pieces of information and are looking for the third. Then choose the formula that works best for the problem.

    In your example tangent works best. So....

    tan(40)= x/23. Solve for x and you have

    x=23*tan(40)=19.30 feetHow do you find the actual height of an object or triangle given angle and distance?
    not sure if i understand exactly but from what i am picturing i would make a right triangle. then use tan to solve for anser

    so i get

    23 tan 40 = 19.2993 feet

    How do you determine the unbalanced force of an object in motion?

    If you know it's acceleration and it's mass you can determine the force through F = ma

    I am not entirely sure what you meant by your question, so I hope this helps.

    What happens when an unstoppable force hits an unmovable object?

    none of these two forces exists that we know about. so nobody really knows what would happen if indeed possible.What happens when an unstoppable force hits an unmovable object?
    The other answer is right...no such thing...but...what if? Let's look at this for fun...and maybe a bit of physics.

    First, the unstoppable force F = d(mv)/dt = dm/dt v + m dv/dt; assuming it's some mass m that slams at velocity v into the immovable object M. dm/dt is the change in mass over time and dv/dt is the change in its velocity over time.

    Second, the immovable object F = dM/dt V + M dV/dt; where the force F is the same one as for the unstoppable object, but in the opposite direction. This is the equal, but opposite force law of Newton.

    Thus dm/dt v + m dv/dt = dM/dt V + M dV/dt; so that dm v + m dv = dM V + M dV holds when the 1/dt factors are removed from both sides of the equation. This simply means, whatever happens, happens to both M and m in the same elapsed time dt. So, let's see what happens in that dt timeframe.

    dm v + m dv = dM V + M dV when the force and force reaction are equal, but opposite. Looking at the left-most terms on both sides of the = will there be a change in mass dm or dM?

    There will be if we go atomic from the pressure resulting from the collision. (This is the kind of energy that causes the fusion reactions on our Sun for example.) If this happens or not would, of course, depend on how much kinetic energy the mass m had to convert into pressure upon impact.

    In any case, E = dm c^2 would be the amount of energy released if dm mass is lost by the impact. For example, if dm = 1 kg of mass lost, then E = 9X10^16 Newton meters of energy created from the lost mass upon impact. And since the immovable object is subjected to the same kinetic energy (force), it, too, would undergo a mass change.

    So the total energy released would be twice E or about 18X10^16 Newton meters per kg of the M and m. To put this into perspective, this is over 66 million megtons of energy released from the combined loss 1 kg of m and 1 kg of M. That is, it would be like 66 million one megaton nuclear bombs exploding at the same time. But only if there was a change in mass dm and dM.

    So what if dm = dM = 0? There is no nuclear reaction because the two masses do not change at this point. Then from dm v + m dv = dM V + M dV, we have m dv = M dV; where dv = 0 and dV = 0. That is, the mass m velocity continues on (unstoppable), while the mass M velocity remains fixed at zero (immovable). Consequently, both velocities are constant, but v %26gt; 0 constant and V = 0 constant from the unstoppable and immovable assumptions. Therefore their changes are both zero.

    Then m dv = m 0 = M 0 = M dV. And we have the interesting result that 0 = 0 if v = constant %26gt; 0 and V = 0. This is, of course, a meaningless result because there are no clues what would happen to the masses m and M. So let's just change the assumptions a bit.

    If v is allowed to slow, but plod ahead...not totally stopped in other words, we have m (-dv) = M 0 = 0. The minus sign in -dv signifies a slowing down. Thus - mdv = 0, which gives the very interesting result that, since dv %26lt;%26gt; 0, mass m must be zero. Therefore, m - dm = 0 and all the mass m must once again be converted into energy E = dm c^2 = mc^2. Again millions of nuclear weapons are going off at once.

    So there we have it. Fundamentally, some or all the mass of the unstoppable mass with F = dm/dt v + m dv/dt force and of the immovable object M must be converted to energy via the E = dm c^2 and E = dM c^2 relationships. And, the energy levels released are staggering, even for a mass as small as 1 kg.What happens when an unstoppable force hits an unmovable object?
    unstoppable and unmovable are terms that defy laws of physics

    if there are forces that are true then there would be a whole new set of laws ...
    The only experience I've ever had on this point was when I met a fantastic lady. We got married.

    Why does an object with a heavy mass on one side not spin as much in air?

    I am doing a physics project and I need to explain why it was smart for me to make one side of my object heavier than the other in order to stop it from rotating as much in air. (Please use physics principles or ideas that would help me to explain) Thanks!Why does an object with a heavy mass on one side not spin as much in air?
    Gravity always acts at the center of mass. If the center of mass is not located at the center of rotation, then the force due to gravity will impart a torque on the rotating part which will eventually serve to impede the rotation of the object while it's in the air.

    The mass times the distance gives you the force applied to the meter stick. Therefore d X (100 - m) = 10 cm X 200 sn. Where m is the amount the mass is reduced and d is the distance from the fulcrum to place the mass to maintain equilibrium.

    sn = square nuts

    If m = 50 then

    d X (100 sn - 50 sn) = 10 cm X 200 sn

    d X 50 sn = 2000 cm sn

    divide by 50 sn

    d = 2000 cm sn / 50 sn

    d = 40 cm

    How much energy is needed to accelerate an 1100kg object along a flat frictionless surface......?

    How much energy is needed to accelerate an 1100kg object along a flat frictionless surface from 15km/h to 25km/h in 5.0s?

    please show me how to do this question and not just the answer for future testHow much energy is needed to accelerate an 1100kg object along a flat frictionless surface......?
    Find the Change in Kinetic Energy

    Convert units from km/hr to m/s

    vi = 15 km/hr = 15 km/hr * (1000 m/km) * (1/3600 hr/s)

    vf = 25 km/hr = 25 km/hr * (1000 m/km) * (1/3600 hr/s)

    Work done = change in kinetic energy = 1/2*m*vf^2 - 1/2*m*vi^2

    Work = 1/2*m*(vf^2 - vi^2)

    Plug and chug

    Anytime you need to find work, just remember it is proportional to the change in energy of a system. If a system does work it will experience a net decrease in energy. If a system has work done to it, it will eperience a net increase in energy.

    Show and Tell object for Persuasion by Jane Austen?

    I have to do a reading project. One of the projects is a show and tell item. We are supposed to bring an item from the book we are reading and read a paragraph about it and what role it plays in the book. THe problem is I can't think of any object that would be good for the show and tell. If you have read the book and have any suggestions that would be so helpful. I have to have it by tonight.

    Thanks for any help!Show and Tell object for Persuasion by Jane Austen?
    Wentworth's letter is the only really significant object that I can think of. Just copy it out on a piece of paper (maybe if you have some good stationary handy?) and that's that.

    Good luck with the showing-and-telling. :)Show and Tell object for Persuasion by Jane Austen?
    Captain Wentworth's letter is, I agree, pivotal.

    You could also bring in a book of poetry by either Sir Walter Scott or Lord Byron. If you look at chapter 11, when they all go to Lyme, Anne and Captain Benwick discuss literature. Several titles were mentioned such as The Lady of the Lake and Marmion (Scott) and The Bride of Abydos and The Giaour (Byron). It may not be as important as the letter, but it was the turning point for Captain Benwick. It also set the stage for what followed with Louisa.

    You could also bring in a picture of English naval vessels or naval uniforms worn during that period of the early 1800s (1816). There are several important characters in the story who were naval men, Frederick Wentworth most notably.

    You could bring in a mirror to represent shallow Sir Walter Elliot and his vanity. If you remember, Admiral Croft mentioned (chapter 13) ';sending away some of the large looking-glasses from my dressing-room, which was your father's.';

    (Spanish) How can I find the Indirect and Direct Object Pronouns in a sentence?

    And what is an Indirect Object Pronoun and a Direct Object Pronoun?(Spanish) How can I find the Indirect and Direct Object Pronouns in a sentence?
    Just curious as to why the question is repeated, but I can repeat the answer I gave:

    The indirect object usually answer ';to whom?';

    The direct object is the object of the action of the verb. It usually answers the question ';what?'; or ';who?';

    I buy stamps. Stamps is the direct object. (what do I buy? Stamps)

    I give my mom the gift.

    My mom is the indirect object. (To whom do I give the gift? To my mom.)

    The gift is the direct object. (What do I give? the gift)

    I hope that helps somewhat!

    Did you want examples in Spanish?

    Compro sellos. (I buy stamps)

    Llevo a mi hermana al centro comercial. (I bring my sister to the mall). Note that in Spanish, the personal ';a'; is used before direct objects that are people, with a few exceptions- like after ';tener.';

    With indirect objects, you should use indirect object pronouns, too:

    Le doy el regalo a mi madre. (I give the gift to my mother)

    Le is the indirect object pronoun. To clarify to whom I'm giving it (not just to someone) I use ';a --------'; (to whoever)

    Le llevo el libro. (I'm bringing him/her the book) The book is the DO, le is the IO pronoun. I can clarify to whom:

    Te llevo el libro (I bring you the book.) a ti could be optionally added.

    or

    Le llevo el libro a mi hermana.(Spanish) How can I find the Indirect and Direct Object Pronouns in a sentence?
    the DOP is whatever you are directly talking about.

    I wash the shirt.

    I wash it.

    It/ the shirt are the direct objects
    an Indirect Object Pronoun is a pronoun that replaces an Indirect Object.

    a Direct Object Pronoun is a pronoun that replaces a Direct Object.

    Spanish Direct Object Pronouns are: me, te, la/lo, nos, os (used only in Spain), los, las

    Spanish Indirect Object Pronouns are: me, te, le, nos, os (used in Spain), les

    As you can see, they're almost the same, except for the third person pronouns.

    When you have a sentence with two Object Pronouns, first comes the Indirect followed by the Direct O. Pronoun.

    Yo te lo compro = I buy it for you

    ';te'; is Indirect O. P

    ';lo'; is D.O.P.

    Also, when you have two third person Object Pronouns (the first being an I.O.P), you have to use ';se'; instead of ';le'; or ';les';

    I gave them my card

    1. Yo les doy mi tarjeta

    2. Yo se la doy

    In this example ';them'; is translated by ';les'; and ';se';. In the first sentence you use ';les'; because there is no other Object Pronoun. In the second sentence you have to use ';se'; because of the presence of that ';la'; (replacing ';mi tarjeta';).

    How does your body react to a sharp object like glass under your skin?

    how does your body protect against damage from glass if it is in or under your skin?How does your body react to a sharp object like glass under your skin?
    well, your body will respond to all foreign objects the same. Inflammation - your specialized blood cells that protect you will come in, i.e. neutrophils, macrophages -they will try to destroy the foreign body with the enzymes they contain within them. However, something like glass may further complicate the situation because bacteria can get in and most likely cause infection. Still the cells will try to fight that off also. But something like glass will have to be removed physically, your body cannot destry that. do u have glass under your skin? why did u put that there? get it out!

    List of possible reasons to object in a courtroom?

    Can people just fire out valid reasons to object in a courtroom like so...

    Objection - hearsay

    Best answer = the most options.

    Thanks!List of possible reasons to object in a courtroom?
    Proper reasons for objecting to a question asked of a witness include:

    Ambiguous, confusing, misleading, vague, unintelligible: the question is not clear and precise enough for the witness to properly answer

    Arguing the law: counsel is instructing the jury on the law.

    Argumentative: the question makes an argument rather than asking a question

    Asked and answered: the question has been asked and answered before

    Asks the jury to prejudge the evidence: the jury cannot promise to vote a certain way, even if certain facts are proved.

    Asking a question which is not related to an intelligent exercise of a peremptory challenge or challenge for cause: if opposing counsel asks such a question during voir dire.

    Assumes facts not in evidence: the question assumes something as true for which no evidence has been shown

    Badgering: counsel is antagonizing the witness in order to provoke a response, either by asking questions without giving the witness an opportunity to answer or by openly mocking the witness.

    Best evidence rule: requires that the original source of evidence is required if available; for example, rather than asking a witness about the contents of a document, the actual document should be entered into evidence

    Beyond the scope: A question asked during cross-examination has to be within the scope of direct, and so on.

    Calls for a conclusion: the question asks for an opinion rather than facts

    Calls for speculation: the question asks the witness to guess the answer rather than to rely on known facts

    Compound question: multiple questions asked together

    Hearsay: the witness does not know the answer personally but heard it from another

    Incompetent: the witness is not qualified to answer the question

    Inflammatory: the question is intended to cause prejudice

    Leading question (Direct examination only): the question suggests the answer to the witness. Leading questions are permitted if the attorney conducting the examination has received permission to treat the witness as a hostile witness. Leading questions are also permitted on cross-examination, as witnesses called by the opposing party are presumed hostile.

    Narrative: the question asks the witness to relate a story rather than state specific facts

    Privilege: the witness may be protected by law from answering the question

    Irrelevant or immaterial: the question is not about the issues in the trial

    Proper reasons for objecting to material evidence include:

    Lack of foundation: the evidence lacks testimony as to its authenticity or source

    Proper reasons for objecting to a witness's answer include:

    Narrative: the witness is relating a story in response to a question that didn't ask for a story

    Non-responsive: the witness did not answer the question; the answer would be stricken from the record

    Nothing pending: the witness continues to speak on matters irrelevant to the question.List of possible reasons to object in a courtroom?

    How does density of an object affect its maximum speed.?

    Example If I took a milk carton and put 5 lbs of cotton in it and then took a milk carton and put 5 lbs of lead in it and droped them off a building. Given all things being equil, weight, container size, wind and so on. The only variable is density, witch will fall fasterHow does density of an object affect its maximum speed.?
    If weight and size are = than density is the same. They will fall at the same rate.How does density of an object affect its maximum speed.?
    In this case, mass divided by apparent surface area will dictate which will fall faster because gravity is accelerating the objects against wind resistance. Gravity will have a much greater effect, per unit surface area, on a high density object than one of lower density with equivalent surface area.
    If you are in a vacuum it will not matter.

    The only difference it would have is from the friction on the 5lb object you use. The lead is tighter packed with less surface area, so it will have less friction and fall faster because the upward force on the object will be less.
    Regardless of whether there is a vacuum or not. If both milk cartons are the same shape and size, they will fall at the same rate. It's like asking which weighs more, a pound of feathers or a pound of lead.
    If you had a mlk carton large enough to pack in 5 # of cotton, the lead in the other container would not take up the same space. Therefore the density within the container will not be equal. The cotton would be the same all the way through. The lead would be all in a corner. Therefore the lead would cause the container to fall differently than the fully packed one. If they were spherical then this would not effect the motion. Otherwise it would.
    In a vacuum where air resistance is not present, they have the same both speed.

    In the real word, air resistance will have an effect on the maximum speed of an object. It all depends on the size of the area of the carton box as it resist air.

    Both will theoretically have the same maximum speed if they will fall at the same orientation but if one falls on its side rather on its bottom, the latter will have larger maximum speed then the former because of air resistance is larger when it falls on its side.

    In conclusion, density has NO effect on the maximum speed because they are both inside the carton box.
    As others have pointed out, if you have two identical milk cartons each containing five pounds, the overall density is actually the same. The real difference will be the rotational inertia of the two cartons. If one is more likely to tumble that can affect how it falls: laminar flow is slower than turbulent flow so the one that is more likely to tumble (or flutter?) more may fall faster. Because the carton with lead has more of its mass concentrated around its center of mass, it has less rotational inertia... the unfilled part of the carton can vibrate in the air while the carton packed solid throughout could not. So my guess is that the lead carton could fall slightly faster, but that is still just a guess... it could depend on how the air interacts with the surface of the carton, for instance.
    The equation of motion is

    s = s0 + v0*t + 1/2*a*t^2

    Mass is not a factor in the equation.

    How can I stimulate my daughter (11 months) to adopt a transition object?

    Need a little more info. like why you need that to happen? Otherwise, in general, baby's learn all in good time.

    Good luckHow can I stimulate my daughter (11 months) to adopt a transition object?
    You aren't mentioning what or why you want your 11 month old to do this, so it is tough to help. That being said, at 11 months old your daughter may not want a transition object for the reason you want her to have one. If she is resistant to it, trying to force the issue will not help. Ease off..watch to see what sort of things she likes the best and then offer her several choices.How can I stimulate my daughter (11 months) to adopt a transition object?
    You can let her decide on her own what she likes or you can introduce something to her and repeat it like every night. Of course with a transitional object, these can become more permanant so if you can avoid her having one or she doesn't want one then don't push it on her.
    Wow. I thought I had my hands full changing diapers, feeding, bathing, and getting my boy to say mom and dad. I never would have thought to get him to adopt and object.
    just keep offering it. My 11 y/o had a blanket or a stuffed animal. my 6 y/o would never attach to anything but me. I am her security object. LOL

    boy! u sure don't make it easy to answer coz of the vagueness of the question!
    Don't really know myself, I am not a parent. But, I am an uncle of seven ruggies. Maybe put her in front of a t.v. show that catches her attention and place a security blanket in her arms, then sit on the couch behind her. Maybe she will be distracted by the show just enough for you to 'slip' the security blanket under her nose! Maybe this will become her 'familiar' object. Familiar = safe environment maybe? I don't know, hey, but I hope I helped, or gave you some ideas!
    NOT SURE I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THO.

    I want to learn how to figure out the trajectory of an object?

    does someone know a good site where i can learn how to calculate the trajectory of an object. I am in the eighth grade so there are no calculus teachers around.I want to learn how to figure out the trajectory of an object?
    First of all, the question should go under physics, not math. Second, there is no calculus involved, just a little algebra. Calculus was used to come up with the equations, but is not needed for basic projectile motion type calculations

    some basic formulas with no calculus are here

    http://www.ngsir.netfirms.com/englishhtm鈥?/a>

    Some even better stuff if here

    Ask him if he has actually taken any college level calculus or physics, probably not. My high school calculus teacher was only about a half step ahead of the students, only had calc. 1 in collegeI want to learn how to figure out the trajectory of an object?
    yes this is a calculus question. if you google 'projectile formula', the second tab has all you will need.

    d=vo*t + 0.5*a*t^2

    d=distance from starting point

    vo=initial velocity

    a=acceleration

    t=time passed

    you will have to do a few different problems first to find vo and a and t. but this is how it's done and this is a common calculus problem but you will see more examples of it in physics. Good luck and hope this helped.

    What is the difference between ';a force acting on an object'; and ';the net force acting on an object';?

    Then, give an example of each.What is the difference between ';a force acting on an object'; and ';the net force acting on an object';?
    A force can be any one force, while the net force is all the forces combined.

    For example, say a forklift lifts a crate. That means the forklift is acting a force on the crate.

    The net force is the force generated by the forklift minus the force of gravity pulling the crate down. That force is what makes the object move.What is the difference between ';a force acting on an object'; and ';the net force acting on an object';?
    Net force is the sum of all of the forces on an object and a force acting on an object is singular.

  • If an object reaches the ground, how much is the velocity and kinetic energy?

    since it already reaches the ground, it should come to a stop. therefore, v should be 0, and KE=0. right?If an object reaches the ground, how much is the velocity and kinetic energy?
    Once the object stops, then yes...PE = KE = o.If an object reaches the ground, how much is the velocity and kinetic energy?
    You are right, but... this is important... problems like this usually mean what is the velocity and KE just prior to hitting the ground. A fraction of a fraction of a centimeter above the ground for example.

    In this case, without air drag or other forces, the potential energy from the release height H is PE = mgH = 1/2 mV^2 = KE just prior to impact. That is, all the PE is converted into KE just prior to hitting the ground. This comes from the conservation of energy law, which is what this kind of problems is addressing.

    Note, if you cross out the mass m in the above equation, one gets 2gH = V^2 which is a variation of one of the SUVAT motion equations. And that's where it comes from... the conservation of energy law.

    can you tell me how you got the answer? It's a physics problem for tension. A free-body diagram is involved somehowThe tension in a string where a 7kg object suspends in an elevator is 74N what's the acceleration?
    use gravity 9.8M/s2

    and you will likely have kg M/S2 or Newtons

    per second is gonna be Joules or somethingThe tension in a string where a 7kg object suspends in an elevator is 74N what's the acceleration?
    If the elevator were stationary, the tension in the string would equal the force due to gravity... = F = ma = mg = 7 * 9.8m/s^2 = 68.6N. Gravity is puling 68.6N down, the string is pulling 68.6N up.

    But we've got additional tension (x)... so,

    F = ma = m(g + x) = 74N

    g + x = 74N / m

    x = (74 / m) - g = 7.55 - 9.8 = 2.25m/s^2 upward.

    Why do we need constructors and destructors in object oriented programing?

    pls why do we need constructors and destructors in oop and also what are the kinds of constructors that are there. its kinda urgent any help will be highly appreciated thanksWhy do we need constructors and destructors in object oriented programing?
    The Constructor in a class is a special block of statements called when an object is created, either when it is declared (statically constructed on the stack, possible in C++ but not in Java and other object-oriented languages) or when it is dynamically constructed on the heap through the keyword ';new';.

    In most languages, the constructor can be overloaded in that there can be more than one constructor for a class, each having different parameters. Some languages take consideration of some special types of constructors:

    * default constructor - a constructor that can take no arguments

    * copy constructor - a constructor that takes one argument of the type of the class.

    , the destructor is a method which is automatically invoked when the object is destroyed. Its main purpose is to clean up and to free the resources which were acquired by the object along its life cycle and unlink it from other objects or resources invalidating any references in the process. The use of destructors is key to the concept of Resource Acquisition Is Initialization.Why do we need constructors and destructors in object oriented programing?
    Constructors create (allocate memory for ) the object and initializes its fields to default values, unless otherwise specified ...

    Kinds of constructors :

    1-Default : initializes the fields to the default values specified by the programming language

    2-Parametrized ( takes parameter to set the values to those given parameters )

    3-Static ( in some languages ): initializes static fields

    4-Copy constructor : Creates a copy of the object

    Destructors release the memory used for the object .

    How to make an electromagnet out of a straight iron core metal to levitate an object for example a photo frame

    Making an electromagnet is easy but levitating stuff with it is hard. It was once thought impossible to levitate an object using a magnet. I've seen it been done mostly with meglev trains and pens. The easiest way is to attatch the picture to a pole so it can slide and go from there.How to make an electromagnet out of a straight iron core metal to levitate an object for example a photo frame
    I think the following article has the information you just wanted.

    wrap copper wire around the core and pass a current through the wire. This should create some sort of magnetic field capable of levitating stuff.

  • People with nice black cars, what type of object/brush do you clean the snow off your car with?

    My car is very new...and I don't want to scratch the exterior with a brush.

    What do you use? Are there other popular things to remove snow from your car with that won't scratch your clearcoat?People with nice black cars, what type of object/brush do you clean the snow off your car with?
    I used to have to travel and write estimates on vehicles, in the winter I always had to wipe off the vehicles, clean off the snow, etc to get perfect photographs for the insurance companies I worked for, there were a couple of things I used, first if the vehicle would run, I would have the vehicle started and get it warmed up good enough to melt the lower layers of the snow on the hood and roof of the vehicles, usually took 10 to 15 minutes, then used a snow-broom, one that I found while looking at a wreck at a car lot, if the car lot used it(European/antique dealer) I knew if would be perfect for the job, check here http://www.carvaluesplus.com/snow_broom.鈥?/a>

    and read more about it here:

    hope this helps.

    Another thing used was a thick squeegee, you can get these in some of the car parts detailing areas, but again, you need to get the vehicle warmed up so the snow melts slightly, always wipe off the blade of the squeegee after each pass so if there is any dirt etc on the paddle it will be wiped off and not cause any scratching, if there is ice on the car there are sprays for deicing windshields , some of these have instructions on the back and say if they will hurt the vehicles finish.

    don't brush the paint with anything use your hands
    hot water and a sqeauky clean spondge with soap =D or umm a towl lol a few of em
    Clean off the windows and go for a 50 MPH drive.

    As a former professional detailer from Minnesota, I can tell you that if you touch a black car you are scratching it.

    The car dealers use something called the ';Sno-Pro'; (see link below).

    If you really don't want to scratch it the ONLY things you can do are:

    1) Leaf blower, don't laugh, it works (unless the snow is wet or icy).

    2) Pressure washer or touch-less car wash.

    3) Bring the car inside, let the snow melt off by its self

    If you insist on getting the snow off of painted surfaces mechanically (brush, broom) then wash the car as often as possible. Even dragging snow across your car will scratch it if the car is dirty because you're dragging dirt, salt, sand, and who knows whatever else is in that snow.
    i know how ya feel i used a snow blower sounds extrem but im not fuucking up my paint job on my new truck.lol
    I have a cover that I bought when I got my car. It has never had snow on it. If I had to use something, I would use a very soft brush. Here is a link to pics of my car, the last pic is from a few days ago. She's still looking good!!!

    just leave the snow on the car and clean the windows off and if you have to wipe the snow off just take enough off so that you don't get down to the paint.
    you know those anti freeze cleaners that you fill in for the windshield wipers? thats what i use
