How can i keep an object in colour and change the background into black and white?

i use photoshop cs2, please help me in as simple way as possible? :DHow can i keep an object in colour and change the background into black and white?
First select the area you want to keep coloured. Once you have that area selected right-click and click ';Select Inverse.'; This will give you the rest of the image selected.





From here you select the ';Image'; area on the top bar, then ';Adjustments,'; looking down the list there should be a option labeled ';Black and White.'; Select that. That should open a menu with several sliding bars. Just press ';Auto'; then ';Ok.';
