What is the relationship between drag force and area of an object?

when you plot a graph of drag force vs. area, how would the graph be: will it be a straight line or a curve. What is the relationship between drag force and area of an object?
drag force=v^2/2*(dg)*A^2

where v the velocity dg the co-efficient of drag andA the area of the body =%26gt;the drag force proportional to the area ^2 of the body therefore i thik its a parabola. What is the relationship between drag force and area of an object?
stress= force / area is the formula show the relationship betwwen force and area.the graph will show negative .the gradient is going down.or straight.
