How long would it take a flying object to reach Pluto from earth at the Speed of Light?

Pluto doesn't exist anymore

EDIT: idk bro ...but i will try to find out and be back

EDIT: heres what i found about pluto

the bottom link got your answer

http://space.newscientist.com/article/dn…How long would it take a flying object to reach Pluto from earth at the Speed of Light?
Pluto still exists...its just not a ';planet';.....its still pluto the something else.

Anyways, pluto's orbit is irregular, but using its average distance of 39.5 AU from the sun.

Oh, it matters if the earth and pluto are on the same side of the sn or opposite sides...........

So pluto on average is 38.5 to 40.5 AU away from us.

Sticking with 39.5 Au

thats about 5.91 * 10^9 Km

5.91 * 10^12 m

Speed of light is 299,792,458 meters / second

1.9 *10^4 seconds

about 32 minutes.

And thats not correct, i'm gonna relook at where i screwed up.

Aha

317 minutes...... 5.2 hours

Still a little off. Too many approximations. but yeah close to that. How long would it take a flying object to reach Pluto from earth at the Speed of Light?
a few minutes i think it takes sunlight 6 minutes to get from teh sun to the earth

calculate how many miles pluto is from the sun the times that by the speed of light

the speed of light is 185000 miles a second

maybe you should ask in one of the science categories they can give you a better answer
2 seconds :-)
