People with nice black cars, what type of object/brush do you clean the snow off your car with?

My car is very new...and I don't want to scratch the exterior with a brush.

What do you use? Are there other popular things to remove snow from your car with that won't scratch your clearcoat?People with nice black cars, what type of object/brush do you clean the snow off your car with?
I used to have to travel and write estimates on vehicles, in the winter I always had to wipe off the vehicles, clean off the snow, etc to get perfect photographs for the insurance companies I worked for, there were a couple of things I used, first if the vehicle would run, I would have the vehicle started and get it warmed up good enough to melt the lower layers of the snow on the hood and roof of the vehicles, usually took 10 to 15 minutes, then used a snow-broom, one that I found while looking at a wreck at a car lot, if the car lot used it(European/antique dealer) I knew if would be perfect for the job, check here http://www.carvaluesplus.com/snow_broom.鈥?/a>

and read more about it here:

hope this helps.

Another thing used was a thick squeegee, you can get these in some of the car parts detailing areas, but again, you need to get the vehicle warmed up so the snow melts slightly, always wipe off the blade of the squeegee after each pass so if there is any dirt etc on the paddle it will be wiped off and not cause any scratching, if there is ice on the car there are sprays for deicing windshields , some of these have instructions on the back and say if they will hurt the vehicles finish.

As a former professional detailer from Minnesota, I can tell you that if you touch a black car you are scratching it.

The car dealers use something called the ';Sno-Pro'; (see link below).

If you really don't want to scratch it the ONLY things you can do are:

1) Leaf blower, don't laugh, it works (unless the snow is wet or icy).

2) Pressure washer or touch-less car wash.

3) Bring the car inside, let the snow melt off by its self

If you insist on getting the snow off of painted surfaces mechanically (brush, broom) then wash the car as often as possible. Even dragging snow across your car will scratch it if the car is dirty because you're dragging dirt, salt, sand, and who knows whatever else is in that snow.
i know how ya feel i used a snow blower sounds extrem but im not fuucking up my paint job on my new truck.lol
I have a cover that I bought when I got my car. It has never had snow on it. If I had to use something, I would use a very soft brush. Here is a link to pics of my car, the last pic is from a few days ago. She's still looking good!!!

just leave the snow on the car and clean the windows off and if you have to wipe the snow off just take enough off so that you don't get down to the paint.
you know those anti freeze cleaners that you fill in for the windshield wipers? thats what i use
