You cant paste it, go to your desktop and there would be a file with the name Picture. The apple creates the snapshot into a picture file (*.png) and places it on the desktop.How do I paste the object in Apple, after using cmd-shift-4 ?..?
I believe it is apple (key) v. Hope that helps. The snapshot should go to your desktop and be called some odd jpg.
